3 DAYS SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK SAFARI
3 Days Serengeti National park safari : Want to take a quick Serengeti safari? Look nowhere else. Serengeti National Park, a sizable national park in Africa, is the continent’s most amazing ecosystem and is situated in northern Tanzania. The Serengeti is known as the Place of the Wildebeest Migration, but its wildlife diversity is much greater. The Great Annual Wildebeest Migration is undoubtedly the highlight of Serengeti wildlife, but it’s not the only spectacle there because Serengeti National Park is constantly home to incredible wildlife actions.
The Serengeti is a remarkable ecosystem covering 1.5 million hectares, home to over 500 bird species, the greatest concentration of large mammals in the world, and the Great Migration. Though only three days long, they can be easily accomplished while providing lifelong memories of wildlife.
The Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and African buffalo) roam the endless plains, which are dotted with gorgeous hills, rivers, and acacia trees, making this UNESCO World Heritage Site home to wildlife in unprecedented numbers.
On this 3-day Serengeti Safari in Tanzania tour, we will pick you up from your lodging in Arusha town and either drive you the approximately 7-hour distance to Serengeti, or we will take you to the Arusha Airport for a quick scenic flight that will take you there in about 112 hours.
A DETAILED 3-DAY SERENGETI SAFARI ITINERARY
DAY 01: PICK UP AND DRIVE TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Your Tanzania safari guide will greet you at the airport and welcome you to Tanzania for your 3-day safari. He will brief you on the 3-Day Tanzania Safari and then drive you to Serengeti National Park, which is located in northern Tanzania, about 6-7 hours’ drive from Arusha. On this long drive, you will stop for a few minutes at the Ngorongoro Crater Viewing Point to take in the breathtaking view of the world’s largest intact caldera.
Enjoy the en route game drive as you travel from Ngorongoro to Serengeti. When you arrive in the Serengeti, check into your accommodation, have lunch, and relax before going on an evening game drive.
DAY 02: FULL DAY SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Over the years, the fame of Serengeti National Park has drawn countless actors, celebrities, poets, artists, writers, storytellers, directors, and film crews. The park’s endless plains cover 14,700 km2, but the 3 million or so animals that live here are its main draw.
Wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, lion, cheetah, leopard, buffalo, elephants, giraffe, impalas, topis, warthog, hyena, hippo, and ostrich are just a few of the numerous grazing animals that can be seen. The interaction between the various species frequently offers some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the world.
As the animals are more active in the cooler hours of the day, you will begin the second day of your three-day Serengeti Safari Tanzania tour at sunrise with a morning game drive and end it with an afternoon game drive. Typically, you will return to camp in the middle of the day, when it is hotter. Here, you can eat a filling meal, unwind, and perhaps take a siesta.
The length of the drive and the likelihood of wildlife sightings will determine whether or not a picnic lunch is included. In this scenario, you’ll arrive back at the camp in the late afternoon to unwind, eat dinner, and spend the night.
DAY 03: DEPARTURE
This is the last day of your three-day Serengeti National Park safari. Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, and enjoy another morning game drive before departing. After the morning game drive, return to the accommodation to check out before driving back to Arusha.
On your way back to Arusha, you will stop in Karatu or Mto Wa Mbu village to do some shopping and purchase some local gifts for your family and friends. 3 DAYS OF SERENGETI SAFARI ACCOMMODATION
You will be staying in some of the best lodges and tented camps during your quick three-day safari in the Serengeti National Park, hand-selected by our travel specialists. We regularly inspect the properties to see if the lodges we use are still upholding the highest standards in terms of customer service. This allows us to keep our selection of accommodations for our clients current.
You will get great value for your money while on this safari by staying in a nice mid-range tented camp or tented lodge with excellent service and food. However, if you prefer to stay in standard luxury lodges, you can do so at Serengeti Serena Lodge, Four Season Safari Lodge or Serengeti Sopa Lodge. A nice upper-midrange tented camp, like the Serengeti Tortilis Tented Camp, which is also situated in the Seronera region of the Central Serengeti, is another option we have for you.
PRICE OF A 3-DAY SERENGETI SAFARI?
Mid-range tours begin at $350 per person, while luxury tours begin at around $500 per person. Budget tours begin at $250 per person. There is a wide price range for Serengeti safari packages that depends on a number of factors. The quality of lodging has a significant impact on a safari’s cost. This will ultimately divide tours into three categories: budget, midrange, and luxury.
Private tours are typically more expensive than shared/Group tours. Single travelers are especially at risk in this situation. You might want to think about a fly-in safari for a 2-day trip, but these are significantly more expensive than road safaris. Examine the seasons as well; low-season costs can be advantageous, and even though it may rain during this time, the scenery is at its most beautiful.
SAFARI ESSENTIALS AND INFORMATION
Is a 3-day safari in the Serengeti sufficient?
Three days is more than enough time to take in the incredible wildlife and sights of the Serengeti. Depending on the visitor’s time and financial constraints, a Serengeti safari can be properly completed in 1-2 days to 1-2 weeks.
A longer safari would be preferable because you’ll have more time to really immerse yourself in the bush experience, but your budget and available time will determine whether this is possible.
There are two game drives per day, one in the early morning and one in the late afternoon, which is more than enough time to see the big five and breathtaking scenery. On a Serengeti safari trip, you can even take a night in Grumeti Game Reserve or the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater to break up the drive to or from the Serengeti.
As an alternative, you could stay in the Serengeti all day. You’ll have plenty of time during your full days at the reserve to explore this well-known safari location, including a full-day dusk-to-dawn game drive that will include lunch at one of the picnic areas.
Although a full day’s worth of game drives can take you farther into the reserve and away from the busier areas, morning and evening game drives are still rewarding. If your Serengeti safari is not part of a longer Tanzania tour, 3 days is generally a good amount of time, but if it is, adding a few more days to your trip would be ideal.
Is accommodation offered on a 3-day Serengeti safari?
Guests can anticipate the very best safari accommodations the Serengeti has to offer after a long day exploring the incredible Tanzanian landscape and wildlife on offer. Excellent lodging is available in a variety of settings, including tented camps, opulent lodges, and camping areas.
Everyone can find something they enjoy, from luxurious lodges inside the reserve to mid-range and luxury camping in the bush with amenities. The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is the best place to stay if you want to be close to the Grumeti River and have a great view of the wildebeest and zebras crossing the river.
The opulent Four Seasons Serengeti Safari Lodge, Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge, and Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp are noteworthy examples of luxury accommodations offered during this 3 days Serengeti safari tour.
Animals on a Serengeti safari?
The Serengeti contains just about everything! The Serengeti Retina hippo pool is home to a large number of hippos, as well as the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and African buffalo). Spotted hyenas are also present in the reserve.
More than 3,000 lions can be found in Serengeti National Park, along with about 1.5 million wildebeest. The sight of these enormous animals crossing the crocodile-infested River Mara has been named one of Africa’s seven natural wonders.
The endless plains are also home to wildebeest, gazelles, giraffes, African bush elephants, big cats, black rhinos, and other animals. A 3-day road safari is an option if you don’t mind a lot of driving to see the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. You have a decent chance of seeing all five of the Big Five in a short amount of time with this combination. The only trustworthy park in Tanzania to see black rhinos is Ngorongoro.
Fly or drive to the Serengeti?
Driving and flying to the Serengeti are both viable options for a 3-day safari, with flying offering a clear time advantage (2.5 hours from Kilimanjaro and 2 hours from Arusha) and amazing views of the wildlife and surroundings. Additionally, more money is required to fly. Kilimanjaro to the Serengeti is a nearly four-hour drive. Fly-in safaris typically include all of your activities and luxurious lodging.
You can easily add a stopover to a 3-day Serengeti tour to break up the drive. Due to the enormous number of animals and other wildlife that can be found there, the Ngorongoro Crater is the most popular option and is frequently referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden.” Old elephant bulls with some of Africa’s largest tusks live on the crater floor as well. Near the Lerai Forest, the enormous creatures are frequently seen displaying their ivory tusks.
How much spending money do I need for a 3-day Serengeti safari?
A Serengeti safari should cost about $300 per person per day, including food and lodging. Due to the higher costs of food and lodging compared to their continental counterparts, Serengeti safaris can be more expensive.
What animals will I see on a 3-day Serengeti safari tour?
The Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and African buffalo), hyenas, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, endangered black rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, and other animals can all be seen on a 3-day Serengeti safari.
What is the best time to go on a 3-day Serengeti safari?
The dry season, which lasts from late June to October, is the ideal time to take a 3-day Serengeti safari. The wildebeest migration is undoubtedly the highlight of this time period, which generally offers the best opportunities for wildlife viewing.
